Set in the idyllic North York Moors, The Grainary offers accommodation with beautiful countryside views. The farm is set in 200 acres of open countryside in Harwood Dale, and has its own wildlife and numerous scenic walking routes.

Each of the 14 colourful, modern rooms in The Grainary include en suite bathrooms, as well as a Freeview TV and a welcome tray with tea, coffee, and biscuits. Harwood Dale Forest which surrounds The Grainary, provides plenty of trails for watching wildlife including birds (night jars) roe deer, badgers, foxes and dragonflies including our woodland board walk to the wet land area which includes the rare Royal Fern. There is also a garden centre selling flowers, seeds, and plants, and a games room and outdoor playground area for children. Free parking is available at The Grainary, and the seaside town of Scarborough is 15 minutes' drive away. historically significant Whitby can be reached in 20 minutes by car. Harwood Dale Forest which is four miles from The Grainary is popular for watching wildlife including birds, roe deer, badgers, foxes and dragonflies.

If you have a Sat Navigational System, easiest way to find The Grainary is by inputting Yo13 0dt. For those who still use a map, From the South: Follow the A64 York/Malton road to Scarborough, then the A171 towards Whitby. Half way through Burniston turn left after the Rix garage to Harwood Dale. We are in the village just after the Harwood Dale sign From The North: Take the A171 Teesside to Whitby road and follow the A171 towards Scarborough. 8 miles out of Whitby you come into forestation on both sides of the road, turn right at the sign and follow the road to Harwood Dale village, we are at the far side of the village.
